Welcome to my blog. My name is Paul Dunn, I have been working in IT for about 18 years, most of that in higher education. I currently am working at a medium-sized mid-western university. System Architect would probably best describe what I do, but because I work at a university, my job description is “other duties as assigned.” That means I do whatever needs to be done, sysadmin, dba, programmer, web designer, photographer.

Currently I am running two VMware clusters. One for our “production” servers (file servers, oracle, web servers, print servers, SAP servers) and another for VDI (Vmware View 4.6). I’ve got a stack of HP DL385 G7s, Dell Poweredge 2950’s and a Sun Blade chassis 6000 with X6250 blades. Storage is provided by a clustered Sun 7410 with 66TB raw storage.
